About us

Civil Certification was established by Michael Shaw in 2010 after working for many years in both the private and public urban development sector. Based on his expertise, the need for a more streamlined approval pathway and a general push for private certification in NSW, he saw an opportunity that has turned into a successful business.

Since that time the company has progressively grown to cater for a number of clients including Defence Housing Australia, NSW Urban Growth, Penrith Lakes Development Corporation, Frasers Property, Stockland’s, Leda and NSW Planning & Environment.

Michael is a Director of the company and primary certifier. He is supported by a team of dedicated personnel who provide drafting, structural engineering and administrative expertise.

The company is based on the North Shore, but services all areas of Sydney.   In fact we have completed projects in NSW as far north as Tweed Heads and throughout Australia including Darwin and the Gold Coast.

We provide a range of services in-house but can also call upon our numerous contacts in the engineering sector if a one stop multi-disciplinary team is required.

Our small company size and experienced personnel provides flexibility, commitment, efficiency and low cost.
